Reconstruction of hot-rolling shop reheating furnaces
NLMK Engineering participated in the reconstruction of reheating furnaces No. 5, 4, and 3 of Mill 2000. The upgrade of the slab reheating furnaces before hot rolling ensured a 50% reduction in the consumption of energy resources (natural and blast furnace gas) and an almost 30% cut of environmental impact.
Design features of the furnaces enable high quality slab heating and the use of advanced resource-saving green technologies in rolled steel production.
