Construction of Continuous Hot-Dip Galvanizing Line No.4
The fourth Continuous Hot-Dip Galvanizing line (HDGL-4) with a 300 ktpa capacity allowed NLMK to expand its product range by producing thinner (0.22 mm) galvanized steel.
The new line was constructed on the basis of a heat-treatment and coating line in NLMK’s NGO Flats Shop. Re-profiling without reducing the electrical steel capacities enabled a more rational use of existing equipment and reduced the cost of the project.
With the launch of the new line, NLMK has entered the market with a new downstream product that was never produced in Russia before; moreover, it has increased its galvanized product output by 1.2 m tonnes.
